29th birthday project

Each time I see this piece of hand lettering, I found myself humming to the catchy lighthearted song, 'Fly me to the moon'. On top of my hand lettering practice in a workbook (Hand lettering for relaxation by Amy Latta), I've decided to try out the template (which I've chanced upon and was inspired), for a playful change.

I've started my hand lettering journey proper exactly one month ago when I browsed through the sample book at Times, Waterway Point. I fell in love with it, so I bought the book together with a Uni fine line pen, Tombow dual brush pens, and Zebra mildliner markers as essentials materials for my hand lettering practice.
*Other stationery needed was a pencil, an eraser and a ruler for planning purposes.

Coupled with an interest in writing design, that's all I needed to start this.

Did you hum along to the song too?
